Many countries don't have the surgical care we do in Canada. Death and Disability from injury are pandemic. In Africa, many individuals die due to lack of surgical care. Injury is a particularly devastating problem. Educational materials in medical schools are inadequate. Why not teach essential surgical skills to practitioners in Africa? Why not prevent injuries? Why not improve libraries?
